SEBO Canada is a division of Floor Care Equipment Ltd., which was founded in 1971 in Ontario as a supplier of vacuum parts. Over time, we moved to Alberta and became a wholesale distributor, importing and distributing various vacuum brands. In the late 1980s, we began importing SEBO power heads and other products into Canada. In the early 1990’s, we became the official Canadian distributor of the full line of SEBO residential vacuums. With an aim to support other small Canadian businesses, we focused on distributing SEBO products to hundreds of local vacuum dealerships across Canada. Today, with warehouses in Alberta and Quebec, we ensure fast shipping and delivery to our dealer network and customers nationwide.

SEBO Canada is an independently-owned Canadian family business. When you purchase a SEBO vacuum, particularly through our network of dealers across Canada, you support local Canadian small businesses as well as the German SEBO manufacturer, located in Velbert.  

Where Are SEBO Products Made?

All SEBO upright and canister vacuums, as well as the other SEBO products sold on our website, are manufactured by SEBO in Velbert, Germany, with one exception:

Due to the limited popularity of central vacuum systems in Europe, SEBO Germany does not manufacture central vacuum systems, hoses, or related parts. To meet North American demand, some components of our SEBO Central Vacuum Kits, such as hoses and wands, are sourced from other Canadian businesses and manufacturers.

SEBO Around The World

Founded in Germany in 1978, SEBO has become the largest manufacturer of high-quality commercial upright vacuum cleaners in the world.

About 80 years after the first vacuum cleaner patent was issued, two German engineers were persuaded to reinvent the vacuum cleaner. With skills both in theory and hands-on-work, these gentlemen founded Stein & Co. GmbH in Velbert, Germany and, in 1978, developed the SEBO 350. This vacuum cleaner was designed to pass the hardest test: to facilitate the work of cleaning professionals. Due to the patented technical innovations that allowed effective cleaning of all kinds of carpet and the ability to clean the lightest corners, this first model immediately impressed the demanding cleaning personnel of hotels, hospitals, and offices. With the addition of unique features such as an integrated hose, a clutch-protected brush roller, and a bypass motor, the first SEBO caused quite a sensation.
